Ko-fi portrait commissions
GENERAL INFO
Personal use only. Contact me to discuss adding commercial rights at an additional fee.
Turnaround time: 2 - 6 weeks
You get two files: high resolution artwork in .png format (11x14", 300dpi) and a lower resolution Glazed version with a watermark.
You are allowed to use the artwork for personal icons or banners, as well as post it online with a visible watermark. Please do not upload the high-resolution, unwatermarked version anywhere public to avoid image scraping. Do not make any visual alterations or claim the artwork as your own.
I reserve the right to post the artwork on my social media and use it in my portfolio.
Any usage related to AI or NFT is strictly forbidden.

Revisions and process - painted portraits - oils
After I receive your commission request, I will respond through Ko-fi to confirm the commission. After some time you will receive a rough black and white render of the illustration for your approval. Once it's been confirmed, I continue working on the piece until completion and send it to your e-mail address.
You have one chance to request revisions at the black and white stage and no major changes can be made afterwards. The reason for this is because my colouring process is not entirely linear and consulting changes becomes slightly difficult - there is an option to add an additional revision for an extra fee however, see "Add-ons" below.
You can only request minor adjustments to the final artwork, such as tweaking the brightness, colour balance, contrast, etc. Of course, if I accidentally missed anything that we had discussed it will be amended at no extra fee.
Revisions and process - painted portraits - rebelle
After I receive your commission request, I will respond through Ko-fi to confirm the commission. Make sure to include all the necessary details in your description because there will be no revisions available with this tier. It's a purely experimental commission type, so please check out the other listing if you'd like to have a bit more control over the process.

Add-ons
Additional revision - colours - adds an additional chance to request a revision of the colour scheme at roughly 75% completion. It's not added by default due to the issues mentioned above.
Waist-up - by default, the character's hands are not shown. However, if you'd like to include them in the piece and therefore change it from a bust to a waist-up of sorts, please check the "Waist-up" add-on. Feel free to specify the pose or if the character should be holding something.

Full payment in advance through Ko-fi - on my end I use Stripe for processing.
No full refunds once the work has already been started - please contact me ASAP to discuss possible cancellations.
I reserve the right to refuse a commission request without giving a reason, in which case a full refund will be given.

By commissioning me, you agree to receive an artwork painted in my semi-realistic style. As my process is often lineless, it requires a more organic approach to the subject. A shared work-in-progress meant to roughly represent the idea, but the final piece will always differ in subtle ways.
With these portrait commissions, I need to be able to have some creative freedom. If you prefer to have total control of the process, they might not be for you. If you would like to work on a project more closely, please e-mail me to discuss rates.
This is not a design commission. That being said, I am fine with working from a written description if no visual references are available, but with the understanding that it's my personal interpretation and no further changes can be made to the design.
how to order
Head to my Ko-fi page and include the following information in your request:
Your name and link to your socials (if any)
Your e-mail address
The character's name
A short description of their personality
Visual references
A short description of their visual qualities in a written form - their skin colour, eye colour, hair colour, etc. This is to avoid inconsistencies between image references.
Whatever else that might be relevant to the request, like a preferred background colour, pose or expression.
Once the order is placed, I will try to get back to you as soon as I can! Please give me 1-2 days to respond. Keep in mind I will use Ko-fi messages to contact you!
